Date: Monday 1 July 2024
Venue: Mungavin Courts
Practical umpiring sessions are hands-on training opportunities designed to enhance the moving skills of umpires. These sessions provide a realistic environment where participants can practice running down the court and seeing situations on the move. By engaging in these sessions, umpires can gain confidence, improve their mobility, sharpen their communication skills and make better decisions.
These sessions will be split into two 50-minute sessions or less.
First session: 6.00PM to 6.50PM
Second session: 7.00PM to 7.50PM
For the first 20-25 minutes, we will be going over the court (once again)
In the next 20-25 minutes, we will be looking at movements back and forth down the court, stopping and infringing, getting to the goal line and blowing for centre passes. Then we will do a half-a-court game and each will umpire the game.
Please bring with you: Water bottle, Warm clothing and loose clothing are needed so you can move as well & court shoes.
